The consortium CASTALIA , founded in 1987, comprises 35 members including major Italian ship owners. Since its foundation provides for the Italian Ministry for the Environment, the service for the preservation of the Italian coasts and seas.
All the anti-pollution activities at sea endorsed by the Ministry of Environment are operated by CASTALIA and coordinated by the Port Authorities / Coast Guard.
Each type of pollution (oil, solid wastes, etc), presents risks and consequences and require different approaches; With such strong experience CASTALIA knows how to deals with all environmental concerns with high technical expertise supported by innovative means and facilities to respond quickly in case of emergency.
